  • BankNifty played to script today. Made some very good profit. Nifty skewed slightly from the script, majorly because Reliance moved. Reliance rose 4% and helped Nifty's elevation.
  • The FII inflows continue, thought the number is going down from last few days. 
  • VIX has eased, indicating a slight risk aversion. US markets are trading in negative as of now. 
  • The upside for our markets is intact as of now. Nifty 15255 and Bank Nifty 36623.
  • Expect our markets to broadly follow the global cues tomorrow.
  • The OI indicates a broad range of 35000 to 36000 on Bank Nifty. on Nifty this range could be 15000-15255. Need to watch tomorrow's action for this week. 
  • Though broadly I feel the market to consolidate in a range for tomorrow.
  • A followup on Reliance is critical for a further upmove. Need a consolidated move on the IT stocks and Reliance for the index to breach the high and move towards 15500.

1. FII were net Buyers for 944 Cr today, while DII were sellers for 707 Cr. A net buying of 237 Cr from the institutional side.

2. FII's created 2229 longs and created 1730 shorts on the indices

3. Being Expiry, Options data not usable.

4. For next week expiry, Nifty has the highest OI for PE at 14000 followed by 15100 and highest OI for CE is at 15500 followed by 15200. Highest Put writing was seen at 14000 and highest call writing was seen at 16000 levels.

5. For the next week expiry, Bank Nifty has the highest OI for PE at 32500 followed by 35000 and highest OI for CE is at 36000 followed by 37000. Highest Put writing was seen at 32500 and highest call writing was seen at 39000 levels. 

6. Asian markets closed flat to green and European markets also closed flat to green

7. US markets trading in red as of now.

8. The breadth of the market was slightly positive

9. Nifty opened at 15073 and made an intra day high of 15188 and a low of 15065 before closing at 15173 .The range of Nifty for the day was 123 points.

10. Bank Nifty opened at 35687 and made an intra day high of 36009 and a low of 35573 before closing at 35752 .The range of Nifty for the day was 436 points.

11. UD Dollar Index is trading at 90.47

12. Energy (powered by Reliance), Metals, FMCG and IT moved the market today.

13. India VIX reduced to 23.05

Starting weak, the month of October saw decent gains and closed almost at month highs. Market was still strong and on the first day of the current series also, the indices were relatively strong.  #Nifty made 4 consecutive bullish candles on the daily chart. #BankNifty made a bearish candle after 3 bullish candles, however still made a higher high and a higher low. Levels : Both #Nifty and #BankNifty are in a range of 17650 to 17900 and 39825 to 41550 respectively. In this range #BankNifty saw some profit booking on Friday, while #Nifty is yet to test the upper level. I expected #Nifty to test 17900 on Friday, however this did not happen. A net buying of 625 Cr from the institutional side. 2. FII's created 1390 longs and unwound 17862 shorts on the index futures 3. On the option front FII  unwound 7656 short calls and   unwound 28440 short puts. They also closed 34543 long calls and  closed 96232 long Puts. 4. For next week expiry, Nifty has the highest OI for PE at 17500 followed by 17600 and highest OI for CE is at 18000 followed by 17800.
